Allegra Marketing Print Mail in Lisle, Illinois, has acquired PrintSmart Printing, a commercial printer based in nearby Woodridge. The acquisition expands Allegra Lisle’s reach across the greater Naperville area and adds to its existing portfolio of print, marketing and mailing services. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
The deal brings PrintSmart’s local customer base and capabilities into Allegra Lisle’s operation, broadening the services available to businesses and organizations in the surrounding communities. Allegra already provides services including graphic design, printing, mailing and marketing communications, while the expanded operation will also support custom signage, graphics and promotional products.
Matt Minnerick, who leads Allegra Lisle, said the company was pleased to build on PrintSmart’s local legacy. The acquisition allows the business to continue serving existing customers while combining the two operations under Allegra’s broader service offering.
For franchise operators, acquisitions can provide a path to expand capabilities and strengthen an established local presence without relying solely on organic growth. They can also introduce new customer relationships and operational requirements that need to be coordinated as the business integrates the acquired company.
Using Gorilla Dash, franchise teams can manage customer information through CRM Integrations, giving operators a centralized way to organize customer relationships as their businesses grow. This can be particularly useful when an acquisition introduces new accounts, contacts and service relationships that need to be incorporated into an existing operation.
The Allegra Lisle acquisition reflects a broader role that strategic acquisitions can play in franchise growth. By adding an established local printing business, the company can broaden its service capabilities while building on an existing presence in the Illinois market.
