Zoom Room Dog Training has partnered with pet technology company Fi to introduce real-time activity tracking into its training programs, marking a notable shift in how dog training franchises approach education and engagement. The collaboration reflects a growing emphasis on data-driven insights in pet care, allowing owners to better understand how their dogs behave outside the classroom and how those habits influence training outcomes.
Mark Van Wye, chief executive officer of Zoom Room Dog Training, said the partnership supports the company’s long-held belief that effective training extends beyond the gym. He emphasized that what owners do with their dogs at home and in daily routines plays a critical role in long-term success, and that Fi’s technology provides valuable visibility into those moments.
Fi’s wearable technology offers detailed insights into a dog’s daily activity, including movement patterns and rest cycles. Jonathan Bensamoun, founder and chief executive officer of Fi, said the company’s mission is to give owners a deeper understanding of their dogs’ health and behavior. By integrating this data into structured training programs, the partnership aims to reinforce positive habits and strengthen the connection between owners and their pets.
Beginning in November, new clients at participating Zoom Room locations will receive a complimentary Fi Mini GPS Tracker, along with six months of service following a qualifying purchase. The initiative is designed to encourage consistent engagement while giving owners practical tools to support training between sessions.
Looking ahead, the partnership will expand in 2026 with the introduction of in-gym leaderboards and activity-based challenges at select locations. Together, Zoom Room and Fi are positioning technology as a meaningful complement to traditional training, signaling a broader evolution in how franchises adapt to the changing expectations of modern pet owners.
