  • Town & Country launches 'Taking Care of People' initiative.
  • Partnership with Give Where You Live to aid families in crisis.
  • A pizza showdown with Geelong Cats players to support charities.

Town & Country Pizza & Pasta has launched a new strategic initiative called Taking Care of People, underscoring its commitment to prioritizing wellbeing, franchisee support, and community engagement. Following a successful pilot, the initiative is now rolling out nationwide over the coming year, with systems designed to enrich human experience rather than solely focus on efficiency. Managing director Joe Rossi explains that today’s franchise partners and consumers increasingly seek alignment with purpose-driven brands.

Central to the initiative is a partnership with the Give Where You Live Foundation, through which Town & Country will match the value of meal vouchers provided to local families facing cost-of-living challenges. This matching program demonstrates a hands-on approach to aiding community members in need.

In addition, the brand has teamed up with the Geelong Football Club to host a pizza-making showdown featuring two Geelong Cats players. Customers will vote for their preferred pizza creation, and Town & Country will donate $10,000 to the winning player’s chosen charity. This engaging event aligns fans, football players, and local communities in a meaningful gesture of support.

The effort is being driven by the franchisor, with franchisees encouraged to opt in wherever feasible. Rossi emphasizes that this initiative is more than growth strategy—it reflects core company values and the intent to scale responsibly by embedding purpose into expansion. As Town & Country continues to open new stores and extend its reach, the Taking Care of People program will evolve with performance evaluation and fine-tuning throughout its 12-month timeframe.
