The Cheesecake Shop has returned with a renewed commitment to Make-A-Wish Australia, launching a fundraising campaign designed to transform cake sales into life-changing experiences for children. Running through November 9, the initiative pledges $2 from every Celebration Range cake sold to the charity, with the goal of raising $250,000. Customers can also boost their impact by purchasing Wish Tokens valued at $2, $5, or $10, ensuring every contribution helps bring a child’s dream closer to reality.
Now in its second year, the partnership builds on a relationship that reflects both the scale of the bakery chain and the enduring reach of Make-A-Wish. The charity, which has granted more than 11,000 wishes across four decades, continues to serve as a beacon of hope for families navigating critical illness. The Cheesecake Shop has positioned itself not just as a franchise network, but as a community partner capable of mobilizing hundreds of stores toward a singular purpose.
The success of last year’s campaign provided a glimpse of what that purpose can mean. One standout story was six-year-old Quinn, whose whimsical wish to fly with a unicorn was fulfilled through support from The Cheesecake Shop’s fundraising. It became both a moment of joy for Quinn’s family and a rallying point for customers, reinforcing the emotional weight behind every cake and token.
Scott Bush, CEO of The Cheesecake Shop, emphasized the importance of sustaining the partnership. “Every cake in our Celebration Range sold, and every Wish Token purchased, will help deliver hope and strength to children who need them most, making their wishes come true,” he said. His comments underline the way everyday purchases can connect customers directly to tangible outcomes.
With more than 250 bakeries across Australia and New Zealand, the campaign is expected to have significant reach. Stores are being activated as centers of community engagement, combining sweet indulgence with a sense of collective mission. For the franchising industry, the campaign offers a timely case study in how retail brands can align commercial momentum with meaningful social impact.
