Smalls Sliders has signed a four-unit development agreement to expand its presence across South Texas, bringing its fast-casual slider concept to the Rio Grande Valley. The new locations will be developed in Brownsville, Harlingen, and McAllen, marking a continued push into high-growth regional markets.
The first restaurant is planned for Brownsville, where the brand’s signature orange modular units, known as “Cans,” will serve a focused menu of cheeseburger sliders, seasoned fries, and milkshakes. The concept is designed around operational simplicity, with an emphasis on speed, consistency, and a limited menu that supports scalable execution.
The franchise development group behind the expansion is led by Manny Saldivar, alongside partners Carlos and Yazmin Hinojosa. Saldivar brings more than 35 years of experience across finance, insurance, and franchising, while Carlos Hinojosa contributes engineering and manufacturing expertise that supports structured multi-unit development. The team has positioned the rollout as a disciplined regional expansion strategy.
Smalls Sliders leadership has emphasized the strength of the partnership and the operators’ experience in managing growth across multiple markets. The agreement reflects continued interest in franchise systems that prioritize repeatable unit models and efficient deployment in emerging metropolitan areas across Texas.
