Salata, the customizable salad kitchen, has launched its “Pour It Forward” fundraising campaign in partnership with the Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF). Throughout August 2025, participating locations will donate a percentage of both in-store and catering lemonade sales to support pediatric cancer research and family assistance.
Michele Maerz, president of Salata, says the campaign reflects the brand’s belief in small yet powerful choices. She emphasizes that whether guests opt for their usual salad or explore a bold new topping, they can also support an impactful cause with minimal effort.
Founded by Alexandra “Alex” Scott, ALSF has grown from a modest lemonade stand into a nationally recognized nonprofit, raising over $300 million for childhood cancer research, family support, and advocacy. The organization’s growth underscores its enduring impact and the importance of community-aligned partnerships.
By integrating a charitable dimension into its everyday offerings, Salata has found a meaningful way to align brand values with customer engagement. The “Pour It Forward” initiative encourages patrons to enjoy healthy meals and refreshing beverages while contributing to a vital cause—demonstrating that nourishing the body and supporting community can go hand in hand.
