Robin Gagnon, co-founder and CEO of We Sell Restaurants, has been honored by Franchise Dictionary Magazine as one of its 2025 “50 Women of Wonder,” recognizing her leadership and impact across the franchising industry. The accolade reflects a career defined by innovation, mentorship and the creation of opportunities for others to succeed.
Gagnon expressed her gratitude for the recognition, saying that she is “truly honored to be recognized among so many inspiring women in franchising.” Her journey began in marketing and led to the founding of We Sell Restaurants in 2001 alongside her husband, Eric Gagnon. Since then, the business has grown into a national franchise network focused exclusively on restaurant brokerage.
Her commitment extends well beyond her own company’s success. Gagnon serves on the executive board of the International Franchise Association (IFA) and chairs the IFA Franchisor Forum. Earlier this year she received the IFA Crystal Compass Award, reinforcing her role as a guiding figure in the franchise arena. Her work includes relaunching the Women’s Franchise Network and initiating a new Marketing Task Force within the Franchisor Forum.
For the broader franchising community, Gagnon’s recognition underscores two important themes: the rising influence of women leaders and the growing value of mentorship, board involvement and peer networking in franchise growth. As the industry continues to evolve, her achievements offer both inspiration and a blueprint for emerging entrepreneurs and franchise professionals.
