Pappa Flock has reached a major milestone in its rapid expansion, opening its first Queensland restaurant at Westfield Chermside. At 209 square meters with 58 seats, it is the largest location in the fast-casual chicken tender chain’s portfolio, surpassing the seating capacity of its flagship New South Wales stores in Rouse Hill (50 seats) and Marrickville (40 seats).
This move marks the TikTok-famous brand’s first interstate venture since its debut, expanding from nine popular Sydney locations into Queensland’s competitive dining scene. The decision reflects confidence in a proven business model and the strong demand that has fueled success in New South Wales.
Chief Marketing Officer Rachel Korbel credited customer advocacy as a driving force behind the expansion. Social media engagement, including frequent direct messages requesting a Queensland location, signaled clear market demand and shaped the decision to establish operations north of the border.
The Chermside launch also underscores the brand’s speed of growth, arriving just two months after the Marrickville opening. To celebrate, Pappa Flock offered complimentary Flock Boxes valued at $17.90 to early customers—featuring its signature chicken tenders and sides—building excitement and introducing the brand to its new market.
Expansion plans are already in motion, with a second Queensland store set to open in Mt Gravatt by the end of September 2025. This strategic rollout strengthens the company’s presence in the state and builds on the momentum of the Chermside debut.
Positioned within Australia’s growing fast-casual dining sector, Pappa Flock blends quality, convenience, and value, with a commitment to ethical sourcing through the use of free-range chicken. Its Queensland entry showcases not only geographic growth, but also the brand’s ability to turn social media popularity into sustainable, scalable business success.
