In the quiet town of Smyrna, Tennessee, a new culinary destination is drawing attention. Mr Brews Taphouse, a restaurant known for its gourmet burgers and wide craft beer selection, has opened its doors, bringing fresh energy to the local dining scene. This marks the franchise’s second location in Tennessee after a successful debut in Murfreesboro, expanding the brand’s reach and commitment to quality, community, and hospitality.
The restaurant offers a distinctive experience built around its 50 beers on tap, featuring a rotating selection of local craft brews that highlight Tennessee’s growing beer culture. Guests can pair their drinks with signature menu items such as the Peanut Buster Burger, the Brew-Chetta Burger, and the ever-popular Wisconsin Cheese Curds. The menu reflects the brand’s dedication to flavor and freshness, while the space itself caters to families and beer lovers alike.
Marty Bell, a Navy veteran turned restaurateur, brings a sense of pride and purpose to the project. “Tennessee burger and beer lovers now have another reason to celebrate in our great state,” he says. Alongside his wife, Mindi Bell, the couple is known for supporting local causes and creating spaces that strengthen community connections. Their first location in Murfreesboro has already contributed more than $11,000 to local initiatives, a tradition they plan to continue in Smyrna.
Mark Leach, Chief Operating Officer of Mr Brews Taphouse, believes the brand’s expansion into Smyrna reflects its growing appeal among both diners and franchisees. He says the new restaurant embodies the company’s mission to blend high-quality food, exceptional beer, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The location is expected to become a favorite gathering spot for residents seeking both comfort and craft.
For the Bells, the opening of Mr Brews Taphouse in Smyrna represents more than a business milestone. It is a celebration of good food, community spirit, and the entrepreneurial drive that fuels local growth. As the taps flow and families settle in, the restaurant stands as a symbol of how franchising, when guided by passion and purpose, can enrich the fabric of small-town life.
