H&R Block and the Kansas City Chiefs have announced a multiyear partnership naming the tax preparation company the team’s exclusive tax preparation partner through the 2030 season. The agreement brings together two organizations with long-standing ties to Kansas City and includes plans for community outreach, fan engagement and support for local businesses. Founded in 1955, H&R Block has been headquartered in Kansas City throughout its history.
The partnership begins with the Chiefs Small Business Spotlight Contest, which invites people to nominate small businesses in Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska. Four winners will each receive $5,000, a year of H&R Block small-business services and tickets to a home game where their businesses will be recognized. Nominations run through October 20, 2026, with public voting scheduled for November.
H&R Block Chief Marketing Officer Alicia Chrapaty said the partnership reflects a commitment to supporting the community beyond game days. Tyler Kirby, the Chiefs’ Chief Revenue Officer and Executive Vice President of Business Development, similarly emphasized the opportunity to give back to the fans, families and business owners who support both organizations. Their comments position the agreement as a community initiative as well as a marketing partnership.
The collaboration will also feature H&R Block at home games at Arrowhead Stadium and across the Chiefs’ social media channels. The company will present the “Block of the Game” series, which highlights a player after each game, while the partnership will include community outreach and volunteer activities throughout the year. These activations give H&R Block multiple ways to engage with the team’s fan base and reinforce its connection to the region.
Community campaigns can involve nomination periods, eligibility rules, promotional schedules and communication across several channels. The Competitions and Promotions feature available through Gorilla Dash can help franchise organizations coordinate campaign information and manage promotional activities across their networks. For H&R Block and the Chiefs, the agreement links brand visibility with tangible support for small businesses, giving the partnership a local focus that extends beyond the football season.
