The pizza and ice cream franchise names Abby Rock, Ashley Balluff, Jenny Culp, and Christopher Anschutz to senior leadership roles.

  • Abby Rock joins as VP of Marketing, bringing extensive experience.
  • Ashley Balluff promotes to VP of Training, with a history at Happy Joe's.
  • Christopher Anschutz leads Operations, with a solid restaurant background.

Happy Joe's Pizza & Ice Cream is charting a bold new course in its growth strategy with the addition of four key leaders to its executive team. The move reflects a sharpened focus on franchise support, operational strength, and customer experience as the brand continues to expand under the leadership of its parent company, Dynamic Restaurant Holdings, LLC.

At the forefront of this new chapter is Abby Rock, who has been appointed vice president of marketing. With two decades of experience in sales and marketing, including her time at one of the nation’s largest independent jewelry retailers, Rock brings a proven record of building engagement and brand visibility. She is expected to guide Happy Joe's marketing efforts with a blend of creativity and data-driven strategy designed to connect with a new generation of guests.

Ashley Balluff, who began her career at Happy Joe's in 1999, is stepping into the role of training and development leader. Having held positions ranging from team member to head coach, Balluff has an intimate understanding of the company’s culture. Her new role will allow her to shape training programs that reinforce consistency across franchise locations while nurturing the talent pipeline critical to long-term success.

Another longtime member of the Happy Joe's family, Jenny Culp, has been tasked with strengthening the supply chain. Since joining in 2007, she has become known for her ability to manage vendor relationships and streamline procurement processes. In her new role, Culp will ensure franchisees have the resources they need to consistently deliver signature menu items such as the Taco Pizza and the Lollapalooza pepperoni pizza.

Christopher Anschutz rounds out the new leadership appointments, bringing a strong background in restaurant operations. He has served in various roles at both Happy Joe's and Dynamic Restaurant Holdings since 2020, building a reputation as a thoughtful leader with operational expertise. As head of operations, Anschutz will focus on standardizing best practices, supporting franchise growth, and enhancing the overall dining experience.

Tom Sacco, chief executive of Happy Joe's and Dynamic Restaurant Holdings, said the new leadership team reflects the company’s commitment to growth while staying true to its roots. “These appointments are about more than filling positions,” Sacco noted. “They are about building a stronger foundation for our franchisees and ensuring that our guests continue to enjoy the unique experience that defines Happy Joe’s.”

Together, Rock, Balluff, Culp, and Anschutz represent both continuity and innovation. Their combined expertise is expected to strengthen franchise operations, reinforce the company’s culture of service, and prepare the brand for expansion into new markets. For Happy Joe's, a brand that has always embraced community and creativity, the additions mark a strategic investment in leadership that will help shape its future.
