Go Mini’s, a national portable storage franchise, has launched a new partnership with Move For Hunger, a nonprofit dedicated to reducing food waste and combating hunger through relocation-based solutions. The collaboration allows Go Mini’s to align its moving services with charitable efforts, transforming everyday transactions into opportunities to support local food banks.
Chris Walls, Go Mini’s Chief Executive Officer, framed the initiative as a core value of the brand. “At Go Mini’s, we believe that doing business and doing good go hand-in-hand,” he stated, highlighting the program’s intent to evolve into a scalable, community-first campaign.
Customers now have multiple giving options. At checkout, they may add a monetary donation; during moves or storage projects, they can drop off nonperishable food; and franchisees will facilitate collection and delivery to local food banks. These touchpoints demonstrate how convenience and compassion can coexist within operational offerings.
Adam Lowy, Executive Director of Move For Hunger and the nonprofit’s founder, applauded the partnership. “Move For Hunger is thrilled to welcome Go Mini’s into our growing network of partners,” he said, noting how Go Mini’s logistical capabilities enhance the nonprofit’s mission.
The initiative will roll out through pilot markets before expanding nationwide. Franchisees will spearhead outreach, coordinating food drives, facilitating drop-offs, and promoting community involvement—positioning the program for broad impact.
To boost participation, Go Mini’s will match donations dollar-for-dollar up to $5,000 during its upcoming franchisee conference, equating to approximately 20,000 meals. This component underscores how franchisor leadership can activate shared values and amplify social contributions.
By integrating charitable programs directly into service channels, Go Mini’s exemplifies a growing trend in franchising: blending operational efficiency with meaningful social engagement. This initiative offers a blueprint for how brands can leverage logistics and customer touchpoints to drive change.
