A change of ownership has arrived at five Checkers & Rally's locations in Memphis, bringing new leadership and renewed energy to the iconic drive-thru chain. FAD Foods, LLC, led by experienced operators Farhana Ali and Alvaro Sauma, has assumed control of restaurants located on East Shelby Drive, Mount Moriah Road, Lamar Avenue, South Bellevue, and East H. Crump Boulevard.
Ali has built an impressive track record in franchising, managing more than 25 restaurants across the country with brands including Church’s Chicken, Burger King, and Checkers & Rally's. Her partner, Sauma, has served as a franchisee since 2019 and currently oversees 14 Church’s Chicken locations while expanding into markets such as Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Together, the duo brings more than 25 years of industry expertise to the Memphis market.
"We are proud to bring new ownership to these Memphis locations and invest in the communities they serve," Ali said. The team’s plans include modernizing the restaurants and incorporating technology that enhances convenience while maintaining the bold flavors that Checkers & Rally's fans expect.
