- The kiosks will serve gelatos and more in under 90 seconds.
- New format offers franchisees a low-investment, high-efficiency model.
Creams Café is taking its dessert menu into UK cinemas through a new partnership with Cineworld, with five kiosks scheduled to open by the end of 2026. The first locations will be in Feltham, Hemel Hempstead, Hounslow, Stevenage and Basildon. The agreement marks Creams’ first move into the cinema sector and introduces a kiosk format designed to extend the brand beyond its traditional café estate.
The kiosks will offer a focused menu of Creams favorites, including gelato, sorbets, sundaes, scoop shakes, soft swirl sundaes, churros and goo-bakes. Designed specifically for cinema environments, the format aims to serve products in under 90 seconds, allowing customers to purchase desserts without a lengthy wait before a screening. The kiosks will also feature Creams’ refreshed brand identity.
For Creams chief executive Everett Fieldgate, the partnership represents an opportunity to introduce the brand to millions of cinema visitors and reach customers outside its established café locations. Tim Sparrow, head of retail at Cineworld, said the addition would broaden the cinema operator’s food and beverage offering and give customers more options during their visits. Both companies expect the initial rollout to provide a foundation for potential expansion into further Cineworld locations.
The new format also gives Creams another way to pursue growth in high-footfall environments, where a smaller footprint and streamlined menu can suit the pace of customer traffic. The partnership follows the brand’s international expansion agreements in Greece and Cyprus, as well as its efforts to develop beyond its established café network into leisure, travel and other settings.
As franchise businesses introduce new formats across different venues, consistent operating guidance can help teams follow established procedures while adapting to local requirements. Gorilla Dash offers a Knowledge Base feature that can help franchise organizations centralize training materials, operating instructions and reference information for teams across their networks.
The first five Cineworld kiosks will test how Creams’ dessert offer performs in a cinema setting, where customers may be looking for something beyond conventional movie snacks. If the rollout develops as planned, the partnership could give Creams additional opportunities to reach new customers and expand its presence without relying solely on conventional café openings.
