Costa Coffee is expanding its presence in Wales with a £1.5 million investment that will introduce four new outlets and create more than 40 jobs across the region. The move reflects the company’s continued confidence in local markets and its commitment to strengthening its footprint in communities throughout Wales.
The first location has already opened at the Sainsbury’s Newport Superstore, where a new café now welcomes customers with seating for up to 60 guests. Operating from early morning through the evening, the café provides a comfortable space for shoppers, commuters, and local residents to pause for coffee, pastries, and conversation.
Additional openings are planned in the coming months. Costa Coffee will launch two drive thru sites at Border Retail Park in Wrexham and at Buttington Cross in Welshpool, offering convenient service for customers seeking quick stops during busy days. Another café is scheduled to open at the Sainsbury’s Rhyl Superstore later this summer, further expanding the brand’s reach across the country.
Together, the new outlets will strengthen Costa Coffee’s network in Wales while contributing to local employment and community activity. Beyond serving drinks and food, the cafés are designed to provide welcoming environments where customers can meet, relax, and connect.
