Paris Baguette has opened its newest bakery café in Clovis, California, giving franchisees Anvar and Nikki Tulyag their third location in the Central Valley. The café at 3640 Shaw Ave., Suite 101, brings the brand’s selection of artisan pastries, cakes, breads and handcrafted beverages to the community and marks Paris Baguette’s 82nd café in California. The opening is part of a broader North American expansion strategy that calls for 1,000 locations across the United States and Canada by 2030.
For the Tulyags, the Clovis opening builds on a relationship with Paris Baguette that began when they first encountered the brand in the Bay Area. Anvar, who previously worked as an executive, was drawn to the concept’s combination of food, coffee and a welcoming café environment. The couple later brought the brand to the Central Valley, where their latest location continues a development strategy centered on creating places where customers can gather for meals, pastries and coffee.
The new café also gives the Tulyags another platform for multi-unit growth. Their first two Central Valley locations established a foundation for the Clovis expansion, while a fourth café in Riverbank is planned for later this year. At the brand level, Paris Baguette says it has more than 4,000 locations worldwide and more than 300 bakery cafés across North America, giving the Tulyags’ local development plans a place within a much larger franchise network.
Paris Baguette is emphasizing local operators as it pursues that expansion. Chief Executive Officer Darren Tipton said the company wants its bakery cafés to serve as community gathering places and pointed to the Tulyags as franchisees who can bring that approach to their local market. The Clovis café therefore represents both another unit for the franchisees and another test of the brand’s neighborhood-focused model as it enters additional communities.
For franchise organizations opening locations across multiple markets, maintaining consistent communication around new stores can become part of the expansion process. Gorilla Dash offers a Social Media feature that can help organize digital outreach tied to local openings, announcements and community activity. For Paris Baguette, the immediate focus remains Clovis, with the Riverbank project expected to extend the Tulyags’ Central Valley footprint again before the end of the year.
