CARSTAR has expanded its Michigan footprint with the opening of the CARSTAR Village Collision Center in Dearborn, led by veteran automotive dealer Jim Seavitt. Known for more than 40 years of leadership at Village Ford, Seavitt brings extensive industry knowledge and a deep commitment to community engagement.
The new center, located at 23601 Kean Street, is equipped with 15 experienced technicians and offers full-service collision repair for all makes and models. The facility is already on track to achieve I-CAR Gold Class recognition, a leading industry credential for repair excellence, along with multiple OEM certifications.
“Growing our business will help us serve the community even better,” said Seavitt. “We’ve always prided ourselves on providing quality service, and by joining the CARSTAR network, we can deliver collision repair at the highest standards while giving back to the people who have supported us for decades.”
Corporate leadership also underscored the importance of the new opening. “We are thrilled to welcome Jim Seavitt and his team to the CARSTAR family,” said Damien Reyna, Chief Operating Officer, Collision, Driven Brands. “His reputation in the automotive industry, combined with his dedication to customer care and community service, makes him an ideal partner to grow the CARSTAR brand in Michigan.”
Beyond providing quality repairs, the CARSTAR Village Collision Center is deeply connected to local causes, supporting Cabrini High School, the Make-A-Wish Foundation, and the Penrickton Center for Blind Children. This focus on community service reflects both Seavitt’s longstanding values and CARSTAR’s broader commitment to giving back.
The opening strengthens CARSTAR’s presence in the Detroit metro area and provides residents with a trusted resource for advanced collision repair. With a strong local leader at the helm and corporate backing from Driven Brands, the facility is positioned to become a cornerstone of both quality service and community support.
