Michael Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority, said the airport continues to prioritize elevated dining options that enhance the passenger experience and reflect the Triangle region’s growing expectations for quality and convenience.
The menu showcases several of Bobby Flay’s signature items, including the Bacon Crunchburger and the made-from-scratch buttermilk onion rings, along with a full bar offering more than 20 seats. The goal is to deliver a higher standard of airport dining, providing travelers with an opportunity to relax and enjoy a chef-driven meal before a flight. The emphasis on both quality and speed reflects the brand’s confidence in competing with the traditional quick-service offerings found in similar terminals across the country.
Ignacio Garcia-Menocal and Francesco Balli, co-chief executives of Grove Bay Hospitality Group, which operates the location, said that Bobby’s Burgers was selected because it consistently delivers on reliable execution, recognizable branding, and operational efficiency. They noted that travelers increasingly want flavorful, premium food prepared quickly, and that Bobby Flay’s burger concept meets that demand. Their partnership with airport leadership also underscores a shared commitment to guest satisfaction and hospitality standards.
