Aroma Joe’s is building momentum through the first half of 2026, combining national recognition with a measured expansion strategy across the East Coast. The Maine-based handcrafted beverage franchise was named the No. 5 Best Coffee Chain in America in the Newsweek Readers’ Choice Awards, placing it ahead of several larger national brands. The recognition comes as the company continues to expand its footprint and attract new franchise development commitments.
During the first six months of the year, Aroma Joe’s opened eight locations across Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Florida, with nine additional units anticipated to open before the end of 2026. The company also added 11 unit commitments representing future development in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Pennsylvania, including a three-unit area development agreement in Scranton, Pennsylvania. The numbers point to a growth strategy that emphasizes both new openings and a longer-term development pipeline.
Florida has emerged as an important part of that expansion. Following the opening of a Cape Coral location earlier in the year, Aroma Joe’s added restaurants in Port Charlotte and North Fort Myers, creating nearly 40 jobs. The company said it sees continued demand for premium drive-thru beverage concepts in Southwest Florida, while its broader development strategy remains focused on experienced franchise partners and sustainable growth.
As franchise networks grow, operators need more than a rising location count to understand whether individual units are performing consistently. Benchmarking within Gorilla Dash can give franchise teams a structured way to compare operational performance across locations, helping identify trends, strengths and areas that may require closer attention. That kind of visibility can become increasingly useful as a brand moves from a handful of markets into a larger regional network.
Aroma Joe’s entered the second half of the year with 136 locations across Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Florida, Connecticut and New York, along with additional locations in development. Its first-half results suggest that the company is pursuing expansion while continuing to build recognition around its handcrafted beverage offering and people-focused franchise model.
