How Weekly Digest selects Our Work posts and reviews

The Weekly Digest uses display rules to decide which Our Work posts and reviews appear. This means a newer item may be skipped while an older item is shown, depending on what is eligible at the time the digest is generated.

Base rules

An item is eligible for the Weekly Digest only if all of the following are true:

  • Status is Published
  • A slug exists
  • It has not previously been included in a Weekly Digest

How Our Work posts are selected

  • If there are more than 25 eligible Our Work posts from the last 7 days, the digest publishes a random selection of 25 from that 7-day period.
  • If there are fewer than 25 eligible Our Work posts from the last 7 days, the digest publishes a random selection of 25 eligible posts from any date.

This is why an older post can appear instead of a post from last week.

Can these rules be changed?

Yes. Weekly Digest display settings can be updated to give you more control over which Our Work posts and reviews are shown, including changing the date range and the number of items displayed.

If you want different behaviour, review your Weekly Digest settings and update them as needed for your organisation.
