The About tab holds the details customers actually see. They are worth getting right — several of them appear in emails your customers receive.
| Field | Where it shows up |
|---|---|
| Public Telephone Number | Your website, and the appointment confirmation telling customers who to call to reschedule. |
| WhatsApp Number | Your website. |
| Public Email Address | Your website, and as the organiser on calendar invitations. |
| Email Sending Address | The address campaigns from this tribe are sent from. |
| Email From Name | The name recipients see on those campaigns. |
| Timezone | Almost everything — see below. |
The public phone number does real work
As well as appearing on your website, it is how inbound calls are matched to a tribe, and it is printed in the appointment confirmation email as the number to ring. A wrong or blank number there means customers cannot reschedule.
The sending address is a local part only
The notification SMS number is strict
On the Notifications tab, the number that receives enquiry alerts must be in full international format — +14155551234, with a country code and no spaces, dashes or brackets. Punctuation is stripped for you, but a number typed without a country code will be saved and then rejected by the network, silently.
Timezone matters more than it looks
A new tribe inherits the organisation's timezone. It then decides when appointment slots fall, which day a sale is counted in, when a scheduled campaign goes out for this tribe, when membership charges are raised, and when reports are sent.
Restricted email domains
Some organisations restrict which email domains their tribes may use. If yours does, saving an address on another domain is refused with a message naming the domains allowed. An address that was already there before the rule was introduced is left alone, so the tribe can still save its other changes.
