Open Social Media Posts and choose to create one. The screen is in three parts: what the post is, which platforms it goes to, and what it says on each of them.
| Field | What to put in it |
|---|---|
| Post Name | For you, not the public. It is how you will find this post in the list next month. |
| Platforms | The channels to publish to. Only connected ones can be selected. |
| Post Type | What kind of post it is, where the platform offers more than one. |
| Content | The words, per channel. |
| Post Link URL | The link you want people to click. |
Writing the content
The editor supports the things social posts need — mentions, emoji, and the formatting each platform allows. Type @ to mention a page where the platform supports it.
Save a draft
Save Draft keeps the post without scheduling it. A draft publishes to nobody until you schedule or post it — which makes it the right way to leave something half-written, and the reason a post you thought was going out never did.
NAME POSTS PROPERLY
"Spring offer — week 2" is findable. "Post" and "Post copy" are how a library becomes unusable by March.
