Sending and scheduling — Gorilla Dash

THERE IS NO CANCEL, NO PAUSE AND NO UNDO

Once a campaign is sent it cannot be edited, stopped or recalled. A campaign that has failed cannot be re-sent either — you have to build a new one. Check the message, the audience and the schedule before you press the button, because that is your only opportunity.

Test it first

Save the campaign, then use Send Test on the edit screen with your own mobile in international format, like +61412345678.

A TEST IS NOT THE REAL MESSAGE

The test sends your raw text: merge fields are not filled in, the opt-out line is not added, and images are not attached. It proves the number works and shows you the wording. It does not show you what a customer will receive — and it is still billed.

Send now

Choosing Send Now and saving asks you to confirm. "Now" means within the next minute or so rather than instantly — the campaign is picked up by a scheduler that runs every minute.

Send later

Pick a date and time. The timezone shown beside them is the tribe's, or your organisation's — check it, because a campaign scheduled from another country will not go out at your local time.

THERE ARE NO QUIET HOURS

Nothing stops a campaign going out in the middle of the night. Schedule 2am and phones buzz at 2am. Sense-check every scheduled time, particularly when the campaign is going to tribes in other timezones.

Why a send is refused

No customer bucket chosen.
No SMS account connected for the organisation or tribe.
The connected account is not active — verify it in Communications settings.
A United States number that is not yet approved by the carriers.

How long a send takes

Messages go out one after another as fast as the network accepts them. A few hundred is quick; tens of thousands takes a while. Delivery reports arrive separately and keep updating after the send finishes.
