Two reports look at the line items rather than the orders. Sale Products summarises by product; Sale Order Products lists every line individually.
Sale Products
Group by Product Name, Product ID or Master ID and you get units sold, orders, average price, total sales, average cost and total cost for each. Expand a row to see the individual sales behind it. Filter by date, platform and — at organisation level — tribe.
The Vendor column shows who supplies the product, when the sales platform sends one with the sale. If the product's sales name more than one vendor, the column says how many, for example "3 vendors"; expand the row to see the vendor on each individual sale.
The Avg Cost and Total Cost columns show what the product cost you, when the sales platform sends a cost with the sale. At present only Hoops does, so the cost columns appear only when the organisation or tribe you are looking at is connected to Hoops and, if you filter by platform, Hoops is one of the platforms you picked. The cost is the line's total cost as Hoops records it, including any additional cost entered against the item. Avg Cost is the cost of one unit: the total cost divided by the number of units that have a cost. Avg Price counts every unit, so the two averages describe the same units only when every sale in the row has a cost. When you expand a row, each sale shows its own Unit Cost and Total Cost.
Group by product name to see what sells; group by an identifier when the same product is named inconsistently across tribes.
Sale Order Products
The same data one line at a time, or grouped by Tribe, Platform, Day or Vendor. Use it when you need the detail behind a summary figure. Sales whose platform sent no vendor are totalled together as "No vendor". Where the cost columns are shown, each line has its Unit Cost and Total Cost, and the grouped views add up the cost for each tribe, platform, day or vendor, so grouping by Vendor gives you what you spent with each supplier.
The totals will be lower than elsewhere
Exporting
Both export to a spreadsheet. A grouped export has no size limit; a flat export of individual lines is capped, and you will be asked to narrow the date range or filters if you exceed it. Group the report or shorten the period. The export always includes the cost columns, even where the screen hides them; a sale with no cost has an empty cell rather than a zero.
Sharing a filtered view
The filters live in the web address, so you can send somebody a link to exactly what you are looking at. Some filters do not exist at both organisation and tribe level — where that happens you are told the link's filters have been reset rather than being shown the wrong numbers.
