Which date each figure uses

An order picks up several dates as it moves along, and each figure is measured on its own one. Knowing which is which resolves a lot of apparent discrepancies.

The transactions table works differently

THE DATE COLUMN FILTER CHANGES THE ROWS, NOT THE TOTALS

On Transactions the Date Column filter decides which orders are listed. The four totals above the table always measure each figure on its own date, whatever you choose. That is deliberate. On a tribe the cards spell it out — Total Sales (Sale Date), Total Invoiced (Invoice Date); on an organisation the same cards read simply Total Sales and Total Invoiced, but they behave identically. Switching to Invoice Date will change the list and leave the Estimates and Sales totals alone.

Work in Progress has no date range

It answers "what is open right now", so there is nothing to filter. The Age (Days) column is the useful one — a tribe with orders sold months ago and still open has a production problem, not a sales one.

Invoiced is additive, not a correction

Invoicing an order does not change what was booked as a sale. The two sit alongside each other, measured on different dates. Note also that an order is currently treated as invoiced in full, so a part-invoiced job shows its whole value.

Timezones

Date ranges are worked out in the tribe's timezone, falling back to your organisation's. That is another reason to make sure every tribe has the right timezone set — a tribe on the wrong one has its trading counted against the wrong days.
