What the Resource Library is for

download Download PDF

The Resource Library is how head office gets documents to the network — brand guidelines, price lists, operations manuals, training packs, artwork files. You upload them into collections; your tribes download them.

Resource Library or Media Library?

THE ONE-LINE RULE
If it is a document somebody should download — a PDF, a Word file, a spreadsheet, a zip — it belongs in the Resource Library. If it is an image that gets placed on a website, a product or a campaign, it belongs in the Media Library.

How it is organised

Two levels, and no more: a Category holds Collections, and a collection holds files. There are no nested folders and no tags — use categories for the broad split and collections for the actual bundle of files somebody needs.

What a tribe sees

Tribes get a read-only library: preview, copy link, download. They cannot upload, edit or delete anything.

Searching

One search box, which looks at collection names, their comments, and the names of the files inside them. It does not read inside documents — so name your files properly. "2026-price-list-trade.pdf" is findable; "final_v3.pdf" is not.
