Reading your entries — Gorilla Dash

Open a promotion and the Entries tab lists everybody who has entered — date, tribe, person, business name, contact details and their answers to your entry fields.

Duplicates are marked, not blocked

The same person entering twice is allowed. Each entry is stamped First Entry or Duplicate Entry in the Entry column, and the promotions list shows a Duplicates count so you can see at a glance how much repeat entry a competition attracted.

WHY THIS MATTERS FOR A DRAW

If your terms say one entry per person, filter to first entries before you draw. If they allow multiple entries, the duplicates are legitimate tickets.

Starring

Star an entry to mark it, then filter to Starred Entries. Use it for shortlisting a creative competition, or for flagging the entries you have drawn.

Sorting and finding

Sort by Newest First, Oldest First, Tribe, Person or Business Name. Sorting by tribe is the quickest way to see which tribes promoted the competition and which did not.

Exporting

Export downloads the entries as a spreadsheet — tribe, name, email, telephone, business name, entry date and status, plus one column for each of your entry fields. Use it for a draw, or to hand a list to a tribe that does not use Gorilla Dash.

AN EXPORT LEAVES YOUR CONTROL

A spreadsheet of entrants is a list of real people's contact details with no unsubscribe and no audit trail. Send it only where it is genuinely needed, and never use it as a source to email from — market to entrants through a campaign or automation so consent and opt-outs are respected.

On the contact record

Every entrant's contact record gains a Promotions card showing total entries, unique promotions and the tribes involved, plus a Promotion Entry activity in their timeline. Somebody who enters every competition you run is worth knowing about.
