Go to Promotions and press Create. The form has four tabs — Details, Emails, Entry Form Fields and Website Content.
Details
| Field | Notes |
|---|---|
| Promotion Template | Required, and cannot be changed later. Pick it first — it overwrites the rest of the form. |
| Promotion Name | Required. What you call it internally and on the page. |
| Slug | Required, unique. The web address the entry page lives at. Filled in from the name automatically. |
| Start Date / End Date | Optional in the form — but see the guide on dates before you leave them blank. |
| Promotion Type | Competition. There is only one. |
| Status | Pending, Active, Paused, Finished or Deleted. |
| Show entries to tribes | Show or Hide. Decides whether tribes can see who entered. |
| Tribe Types | Which kinds of tribe this competition is for, or All. |
Emails
The Email Banner Image, Customer Email Subject, Customer Email Heading and Customer Email Message make up the confirmation every entrant receives. Leave any of them blank and the template's version is used.
Entry Form Fields
The extra questions you ask beyond name and contact details. Add Field, give it an Item Name, and choose a Type.
Website Content
The blocks your website reads to build the competition page — headings, body copy, images, galleries and lists. Add Content, name the block, and pick its type.

Duplicating an old one
Running the same competition again? Duplicate on the promotions list copies everything except the entries and sets the copy to Pending. Rename it and give it a new slug before you make it live — the copy keeps the original's.
