Writing a post

Only a heading is required, but a post is not worth publishing without a story and at least one good photograph. Everything else improves it.

The sections

SectionHolds
Post DetailsAuthor and status.
Post ContentThe heading, the search engine title and description, the web address, the excerpt and the story itself.
ImagesThe photographs.
Client DetailsThe client's name and website, if you have permission.
SchedulePost now or later, whether to include it in the digest, and whether to feature it.

Standard or formatted

The story can be plain Standard text or Formatted with basic markup. Standard rejects any formatting at all, so pasting from a word processor or a web page will usually fail — paste as plain text, or switch to Formatted.

Clearing the web address can break its link

CLEARING THE WEB ADDRESS REBUILDS IT FROM THE HEADING
A post's address comes from its slug. Renaming a post does not change it — but emptying the URL Path (Slug) field and saving regenerates the address from the new heading, breaking any link already shared. Set the slug deliberately and leave it alone once the post is out.

Getting it into the digest

Tick Include weekly digest. That makes the post eligible — it still has to be published, recent enough for the digest's age limit, and approved if approval is switched on.

A POST WITH NO WEB ADDRESS IS SKIPPED
The digest links to the post, so one saved without a slug is silently left out. And once a post has appeared in a digest it can never appear in another.

Turning it into a social post

Create Social Post copies the post into a new social media post ready to schedule. A post with an empty story cannot be copied — write something before reaching for the button.

AI help

Both the excerpt and the story have an AI improve option with a custom prompt, and you can clear the AI changes if you do not like them. Useful for turning a tribe manager's three-line note into something publishable.
