Every membership has a Payment Schedule. It decides how often a charge is raised, and it cannot be changed once the membership has billed.
| Schedule | Charges per year |
|---|---|
| Weekly | 52 |
| Fortnightly | 26 |
| Monthly | 12 |
| Quarterly | 4 |
| Half-Yearly | 2 |
| Annually | 1 |
| Non-Recurring | One charge only |
Non-Recurring
Use it for a one-off engagement you still want on the member's ledger — a project fee, a one-time programme. It bills once and then sits there.
Weekly is not four times monthly
A weekly membership bills 52 times a year, so its monthly equivalent is the weekly amount times 52 divided by 12 — about 4.33 weeks, not 4. Reports use the correct figure. Anybody checking the numbers by multiplying weekly by four will come out roughly 8% low and think the report is wrong.
Pay in Arrears
By default a membership bills in advance — the charge is raised at the start of the period it covers. Switch on Pay in Arrears and the first charge comes one interval after the start date instead, billing for the period just finished. A joining fee, if there is one, is still raised up front.
