An image in the organisation library does nothing for a tribe until it is shared. Sharing is what turns a head office folder into a network resource.

Sharing outwards

Mark an image as visible to tribes and it appears in their library and in every media picker they use. That is how a tribe posts brand artwork without anyone emailing them a file.

Tribes sharing back

With allow tribes to share media switched on, a tribe can share its own images with the other tribes. A good photograph of finished work at one tribe is usually the most persuasive picture the network has, and it is otherwise stuck on one phone.

The share status column tells you where an image came from — shared from the organisation, shared from another tribe, or not shared at all.

Read only

Shared images can be used but not edited by the receiving tribe. That is the point: everyone works from one version, and only its owner can change it.
