A library is only useful if people can find things in it. There are four ways to narrow it down, and they combine.
| Filter | Narrows to |
|---|---|
| Search | A product or photo name. |
| Media category | The group an image was filed in. |
| Product, range or product category | Images attached to a particular thing you sell. |
| Tags | Anything the uploader labelled it with. |
| Share status | Shared, unshared, or shared from another organisation or tribe. |
Starred media
Star the images you use constantly — the current campaign, the logo everyone asks for — and they are one click away instead of a search. It is the single most useful habit in a library of any size.
Sorting
The list can be sorted alphabetically, by date uploaded or updated, and by download count. Download count is worth a look occasionally — it tells you what your network actually uses, which is rarely what you expect.
IF NOBODY CAN FIND IT, NOBODY WILL USE IT
