With the approval process enabled, images are reviewed before they count as part of the library. Each one is approved or disapproved, and the library records who did it and when.
When it is worth having
| Turn it on when | Leave it off when |
|---|---|
| Tribes upload their own photography that goes out under the brand. | Only head office uploads, and reviews before uploading anyway. |
| Your industry has rules about what may be shown. | The library is small and everything in it is already checked. |
| You have been caught out by an off-brand image in a post. | Nobody has the time to review, in which case it becomes a bottleneck. |
Running it well
- Name who reviews, and a second person for when they are away.
- Review on a schedule people can rely on — daily is ideal, weekly is workable, "when we get to it" is not.
- Say why when you disapprove. An uploader who is told nothing uploads the same thing again.
AN UNWORKED QUEUE IS WORSE THAN NO APPROVAL
