Allergen page not showing menu items

download Download PDF

Symptoms

  • The allergen page loads blank or does not display menu items after you add or edit items.
  • You recently selected allergens for items or added a new size/option.

Likely causes

  • One or more new menu items are missing required data, which can prevent the page from rendering.
  • A custom field was added to the allergen component/editor. Custom fields added this way are not connected to the live site and can break the page.

Fix

  1. Review each newly added or edited menu item and complete all required fields (for example, sizes and allergens).
  2. Do not add new custom fields to the allergen component. To introduce a new option, use the existing fields. For example, to add a new size, add an extra size (e.g., “Sandwich Tray”) using the existing size controls.
  3. Remove any custom fields you added, then recheck the page.
  4. Refresh the allergen page and confirm the items display correctly.

Still having trouble?

  • If the editor only lets you select a single allergen or the page still won’t load, contact support.
  • Email support@gorilladash.com or submit a ticket from the Gorilla Dash platform. Include the URL where the issue occurs and a brief description of what changed just before the problem started.
