Publishing a form and sharing the link

download Download PDF

A form is reachable only when it is published. The status is the whole of its availability.

StatusMeans
DraftNot reachable yet. Safe to build in.
PublishedLive and accepting responses.
PausedThe link is closed — responses already collected are kept.

Pausing is the right way to close a survey. It stops new responses without deleting anything, and it can be reopened.

The public link

Every published form has a link you can send, put on a page, or turn into a QR code. Open it yourself before sharing it — in a private window, so you see what a stranger sees.

Letting every tribe publish it

A form can be opened up so every location publishes their own version. Each tribe then gets their own link and sees only their own responses — which is what makes one head office survey usable across a whole network.

THE RIGHT LINK MATTERS
A tribe that shares the head office link collects responses into the organisation's pile rather than their own, and then cannot find them. Make sure each location sends out its own link.
