A coupon is a code a customer types at checkout on a Customer Ordering Portal. You control what it is worth, when it runs, how many times it can be used, and which locations honour it.

Creating a coupon

Go to Food → Coupons and click Create Coupon.

FieldWhat it does
Coupon NameYour name for it, shown in the list.
Coupon CodeWhat the customer types. Keep it short and unambiguous — no mixing O and 0.
Coupon TypeAmount Discount (a fixed sum off), Percent Discount (a share off), or Free Menu Item (choose the item under Select Menu Item).
Start Date / End DateThe window it works in. Tick No end date for an open-ended code.
Total CouponsHow many times it can be redeemed in total, or Total Unlimited.
Maximum per CustomerHow many times one customer (by email) may use it, or Customer Unlimited.
Minimum SpendThe cart total needed before the code applies.
TribesThe locations that honour it. Leave empty for every location.
StatusActive for live; Paused to stop it without deleting it.

The Coupons list shows how many times each code has been Redeemed. Pausing a code keeps that history; deleting it does not.

PER-CUSTOMER LIMITS FOLLOW THE EMAIL ADDRESS
A customer is recognised by the email they check out with. A per-customer limit is a real deterrent for ordinary shoppers and no obstacle to someone with two addresses — treat Total Coupons as the limit that protects you.
