Email builder: place buttons side by side and fix mobile stacking

If you can’t place buttons throughout the email body or they stack/cut off on mobile, it’s usually because multiple elements are combined inside a single content block. Separating content into its own blocks and using columns gives you control over placement on desktop and mobile.

Step-by-step

  1. Split your content into separate blocks

Add images, text, and each button into their own content blocks (containers). Avoid putting the entire email into one block.

  2. Use columns for side-by-side layouts

Insert a 2-column content block where you want items side by side (e.g., two listings with buttons). Place each listing and its button in its own column. If an image spans both items, split it so each column has its own image.

  3. Place buttons where they belong

Add the button element inside the relevant column under the content it relates to. This allows buttons to appear mid-body, not only at the bottom.

  4. Set a suitable content width

In the Body settings, set your desired desktop body width. 600px is a good starting point; go wider if you prefer.

  5. Preview desktop and mobile

On desktop, columns appear side by side; on mobile, they will stack vertically. Use the mobile editor to make fine adjustments if required.

Troubleshooting

  • If a button is cut off or its link seems unclickable on mobile, ensure it sits in its own content block/column rather than inside one large, combined block.
  • If spacing or alignment looks off on mobile, fine-tune in the mobile editor after setting up columns.
