Task reminders and who gets them

download Download PDF

A task nobody knows about is a task nobody does. The CRM notifies the person a task is assigned to, so work handed over actually lands.

Who is told

The assignee — the person whose name is on the task. Not the person who created it, and not the rest of the tribe. If you want a colleague to know about something without owning it, @mention them in a note instead.

When somebody says they were not told

CheckWhy
Is the task actually assigned to them?An unassigned task notifies nobody at all.
Is their team member profile linked to their login?A team member who is not linked to a user account cannot be notified.
Are they in this tribe?Assignment offers the tribe's CRM team members; someone removed from the tribe stops seeing its work.

The list still matters

Notifications are a prompt, not a system. The reliable habit is opening Due Today or Overdue every morning — it does not depend on anyone noticing a message.
