Quick Rules is the whole set of auto-advance triggers on one screen. Instead of opening each stage in turn, you see every trigger listed and pick the stage it should move a contact to.
How to use it
Each row is a trigger — an enquiry submitted, a sale completed, a review received. Choose the stage beside it and the rule saves straight away. Choose — No stage — to switch a rule off.
If the screen tells you to add a lifecycle stage first, that is exactly what it means: there is nothing to move contacts to until the stage list exists.
The safety rail
A rule only fires when the stage it names is further along than where the contact already is. Contacts never regress, so a customer who sends a new enquiry is not demoted to a prospect — the rule simply does not apply to them.
A sensible starting set
| When | Move them to |
|---|---|
| An enquiry is submitted | Your first "engaged" stage. |
| A quote or estimate is created | Your qualified or proposal stage. |
| A sale is completed | Customer. |
THREE RULES BEAT TEN
Set the obvious ones, live with them for a month, and only add more when you catch yourself moving records by hand for the same reason twice.
