A contact's profile shows what marketing is doing to them, which is exactly what a rep needs before they call — walking into a conversation without knowing the customer got a promotional email that morning is avoidable.
What is shown
| Card | What it tells you |
|---|---|
| Marketing emails | Whether this contact may be emailed by marketing at all. |
| Automations | The automated journeys they are in, and what has already been sent. |
| Customer buckets | The segments they currently fall into — the groups your automations act on. |
Taking someone out of marketing
Two switches, and they do different jobs. Marketing emails off stops campaign email reaching them. Automations off stops automated journeys running for them. A customer who says "stop emailing me but keep my account" usually wants both.
THIS IS NOT THE SAME AS UNSUBSCRIBING
Why a rep should look
The automation timeline shows exactly what a contact has been sent and when. It answers "what did they already receive?" before you send them anything else, and it explains the occasional call that opens with "I already got your email".
