Call lists: what they are for

download Download PDF

A call list is a queue of people to ring, worked through one at a time on a screen built for calling. It exists because working a filtered contacts list means losing your place, forgetting who you have done, and no record of the ones who said no.

What a call list gives you

  • A queue that remembers where you are.
  • A call screen with everything about the lead in front of you as you dial.
  • Outcomes that record what happened, in one click.
  • Follow-ups booked without leaving the call.
  • Numbers at the end: calls made, callbacks booked, meetings booked.

When to use one

Use a call listUse the contacts list
A campaign: ring everyone who came to the show.Following up your own accounts as they come up.
Ringing a bought or imported list.A single call you need to make right now.
Reactivating customers who have gone quiet.Anything that is not a session of calling.

How a list is worked

Someone builds the list, one or more reps work through the queue recording outcomes, follow-ups get booked as they go, and the list is eventually merged into another or closed off. The call history stays on the contacts either way.
