Every number on the Activity Report can be opened up. Click through and you get the underlying records — the contact or company, the activity type, and when it happened.
What the drilldown shows
The most recent records for whatever you selected: the person or account involved, what kind of activity it was, and the date. Enough to see whether a number is what you assumed it was.
What to look for
- A high number from few accounts. Twenty communications with three customers is account management, not new business.
- Everything logged on one day. A week catching up on Friday afternoon; the dates are guesses.
- Activity with no stage moves. Plenty of talking, nothing progressing.
ALWAYS LOOK BEFORE YOU ACT ON A NUMBER
The drilldown takes ten seconds and regularly changes the conversation you were about to have.
When it is empty
No records for a selection usually means the period or the filter is wrong rather than that nothing happened — check the date range first.
