Compliance on your tribe: the To do page

download Download PDF

The guides in this section are written for the franchisee. A tribe is one location, branch or business unit inside your franchisor's organisation, and it is the word Gorilla Dash uses on every screen you are about to look at. Everything in Compliance on your tribe is about that one tribe: the checks your franchisor asks you to complete, the visits they conduct, the documents you have to keep current, and the actions that come out of all of that.

Finding it

  1. Open your tribe from the organisation dashboard, or from the tribe list.
  2. In the left-hand menu, select Compliance. It sits near the top, with Weekly Digest.
  3. The To do page opens first. The other pages — Checklists, Self-assessments, Visits, Documents and Actions — are in the smaller menu on the left of the Compliance screen.
IF COMPLIANCE IS NOT IN YOUR MENU
Two things have to be true before it appears: your franchisor has switched the Compliance application on for tribes, and your tribe role holds the View Tribe Compliance permission. Ask your franchisor, or whoever manages your tribe's administrators, to check both. If you can open Compliance but every button is missing, you hold View Tribe Compliance and not Edit Tribe Compliance.

The four counts

CountWhat it means
Checks to completeChecklists and self-assessments your tribe has been asked to fill in and has not yet submitted. The line underneath says how many are past their due date.
Visits to sign offVisit reports your advisor has finished that are waiting for somebody at the tribe to acknowledge them.
Open actionsThings your franchisor has asked you to fix or to send, that are not yet verified. The overdue count is underneath.
Documents needing attentionRequired documents that are missing, expired, expiring within thirty days, or that were sent back to you.

Under the counts, each group is listed in full, earliest due date first. Select any line to open it. When every group is empty the page says so, and there is nothing you need to do.

What you will not see

Compliance on your tribe shows your tribe only. You do not see other tribes, the franchisor's overview, or the settings behind the checklists. Some checks are also marked as financial by your franchisor, such as a royalty audit; those are handled between you and your franchisor directly and never appear here. Notes your advisor has marked as private stay on their side too.

SAVE AS YOU GO
Every check you complete saves a section at a time, so you can start an opening checklist, serve a customer, and come back to it. Nothing is handed to your franchisor until you press Submit.
