Financial reporting works exactly like any other document requirement, with two differences: it is tracked by period rather than by expiry date, and it is marked Financial so only people with the financial permission can see it.
Setting one up
- In Compliance Settings, add a document type — "Monthly profit and loss", say.
- Set Tracks to a period, and Every to Monthly, Quarterly or Yearly.
- Set Due days after period end — fourteen is common for a monthly return.
- Turn on Financial.
- Turn on Required. That is what makes a period with nothing lodged count as missing — a schedule under Compliance Settings only creates checks from checklist templates, not documents.
One document is then lodged per period, labelled 2026-07 for a month, 2026-Q3 for a quarter, or 2026 for a year. Compliance is a head office module in this release, so somebody in your organisation lodges it on the tribe's behalf from the Documents page.
What to collect
| Document | Typical cadence |
|---|---|
| Profit and loss statement | Monthly |
| Sales or turnover declaration | Monthly |
| Tax or sales-tax return | Quarterly |
| Annual financial statements | Yearly |
Who can see them
Marking the type Financial means everything filed against it needs View Financial Compliance. Anyone without it does not see the documents, the type, or a count that would reveal they exist — not on the Documents page, not on the Overview, not on the tribe profile.
That is what lets a business advisor run brand audits across a network without ever seeing what any tribe earns.
The Finance page
The Finance page brings the financial work into one place: financial reviews and royalty audits at the top, and the financial documents awaiting review underneath. It is the page the finance team lives on; everyone else can ignore it.
