Open the check from Visits, Self-Assessments or Checklists and press Start. If you booked it with Start now, it is already open.
Working through it
- One section at a time, with a progress bar and a count of how many items are answered.
- Pass, Fail and N/A are large buttons, sized for a phone held in one hand in a kitchen.
- Tapping the same answer again clears it, so a mis-tap is one tap to undo.
- Guidance sits under the item where the template author wrote it.
- Next section saves what you have done before moving on.
Photographs
Items set up to collect evidence show a capture button, which opens the camera directly on a phone. Each photograph uploads as it is taken. Items where the evidence is compulsory are marked Required and hold the submit until they have one.
The summary
The last section carries a Summary for the franchisee box. This is the part the tribe actually reads — what went well, what needs attention. A score with no summary rarely changes anybody's behaviour.
Submitting
Press Submit and three things happen at once:
- The check is scored — points earned against points available, ignoring anything answered N/A.
- Every failed item set up to raise a corrective action raises one, against the tribe, with its due date.
- An advisor-conducted visit is complete; a self-assessment or checklist goes to Awaiting review instead.
Reading it back
Once submitted, the page becomes the report: the score, whether it passed, the summary, and every item with a tick, a cross or a dash beside it and its photographs attached. The actions it raised are listed underneath.
Sign off records the name of the person at the tribe who acknowledged the visit, and when. It is offered on every submitted or approved check, whatever the template says — type the franchisee's name while you are standing with them, at the end of the walk-round.
