Who sees which events — Gorilla Dash

The calendar has Day, Week and Month views, opening on Month, with a Today button and arrows to move through time. Alongside it sits a list of Upcoming Events.

The tribe calendar shows organisation events

THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A TRIBE EVENT

Events belong to the organisation and have no tribe. The calendar on a tribe shows the same organisation-wide events, just without the ability to create or edit them. Do not tell your tribes it is "their" calendar — they are looking at head office's.

What each person sees

Somebody with an organisation-level role sees every event in the organisation.
Somebody with only tribe-level access sees only the events they are invited to.

So a branch manager and a head-office user looking at the same screen legitimately see different things.

Opening an event

From the organisation calendar, clicking an event opens it for editing. From a tribe, it opens a read-only Event Details panel with the duration, location, meeting link and description, and a Join Meeting button for online events.

Responding to an invitation

Invitees answer using the Yes, No and Maybe links in their email. Gorilla Dash users can also respond from the in-app notification. Responses are visible immediately on the invitees page.

Testing an invitation before you publish

Use the test send on the event to mail yourself a copy. It shows the formatting, the details and the attachments. The Yes, No and Maybe links in a test do not work — there is no invitee behind them — so ignore those and check everything else.
