When you get billed

download Download PDF

Billing runs to a fixed monthly calendar. Knowing it explains why a charge you expected has not appeared yet.

WhenWhat happens
1st of the monthPhone number rental and branded store fees are recorded for the month.
2ndLast month's email sends are settled.
3rdLast month's metered usage is turned into charges.
4thInvoices are generated and emailed. Automatic payments are taken.
15th and 25thOverdue reminders go out.

Subscription charges accrue continuously through the month and are swept onto the invoice on the 4th along with everything else.

Usage is always billed in arrears

A MONTH IS NEVER BILLED UNTIL IT HAS FINISHED
Usage for a month is charged on the 3rd of the following month. So the text campaign you sent on the 20th appears on next month's invoice, not this one. The Metered Usage screen shows the month in progress as it accrues, but nothing bills from that figure until the month closes.

Reminders

Where automated reminders are switched on, an account with an overdue invoice is emailed on the 15th and the 25th, at most once a week. The reminder counts only invoiced money — usage accruing this month does not make you overdue.

THE SETTING SAYS "WEEKLY" BUT SENDS TWICE A MONTH
The help text beside the switch describes a weekly reminder. The actual schedule is the 15th and the 25th. Do not plan a collections process around a weekly chase that will not happen.

Invoices are emailed automatically

Each invoice is sent shortly after it is generated, with the PDF attached. Payment is due five days after the invoice date, and the email says so.
