Almost every "I am locked out" turns out to be one of a handful of things. Work down this list before asking anyone for help — it is usually quicker.
| What you see | What it usually is | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Incorrect email or password | The other email address, or an old saved password. | Try your other address, then reset the password. |
| Too many login attempts | A short pause after repeated failures. | Wait a moment, then reset rather than guess again. |
| The reset email never arrives | Junk folder, or an address with no account. | Check junk, then confirm the address with an administrator. |
| Your code is not accepted | The phone clock has drifted. | Turn on automatic time, or use a recovery code. |
| You are asked to set up two factor authentication | Your organisation now requires it. | Set it up — there is no way past it. |
| Signed in, but nothing is there | Not an access problem at all. | See below. |
Signed in but the screens are empty
This is not a login problem — you are in. It means your account has not been given access to anything yet, or has been removed from the tribes it used to be in. An administrator at your organisation fixes that in a minute.
An invitation that was never accepted
AN INVITED ACCOUNT IS NOT A LIVE ACCOUNT
When to ask for help
If you have reset your password, checked your junk folder and confirmed the address, contact your own administrator first — they can see your account, resend an invitation, and send you a reset directly.
