Resetting a forgotten password

Choose Forgotten Password? on the sign-in screen, enter your email address, and Gorilla Dash sends you a link to set a new one.

When the email does not arrive

Check	Why
Your junk or spam folder	The most common answer by a wide margin.
The exact address you typed	A reset can only be sent to an address that has an account.
Whether you use a different address here	Many people have a personal address in their head and a work address on the account.
A few minutes	Mail is not always instant, and requesting five more resets does not speed it up — each new link cancels the last.

For security, the screen does not confirm whether an address has an account. If nothing arrives and the address is right, ask an administrator at your organisation to check the account exists.

The link expires

USE IT WHILE IT IS FRESH

Reset links are short-lived on purpose. A link found in an old email will not work — request a new one rather than assuming the reset is broken.

Setting the new password

Enter the new password twice. Once it is saved you are told, and you can sign in with it straight away. If two factor authentication is on, you will still be asked for your code — resetting a password does not switch it off.
