Connecting your email account

Connecting your mailbox lets Gorilla Dash show email with your customers on their records, and lets you send from your own address without leaving the page. It is the change that makes the customer history complete.

Connecting

Open My Account → My Email Accounts.
Choose Connect with Google or Connect with Microsoft.
Sign in to your provider and approve the access it asks for.
Back in Gorilla Dash, link the account to your tribes — that decides where the email shows up.

You can connect more than one account — a work address and a shared sales address, for instance — and each is linked to tribes independently.

What Gorilla Dash does with it

Linking to tribes

A CONNECTED ACCOUNT WITH NO TRIBE DOES NOTHING

The tribe link is what tells Gorilla Dash whose contacts to match your email against. Connect the account and stop there and no history will appear — this is the most common reason someone says the connection "did not work".

Disconnecting

Disconnect from the same screen. Email already recorded on contacts stays; nothing new is picked up afterwards.
